Hero Motocorp has introduced the Dakar special edition of the Xpulse 200 4V Pro, priced at ₹1.67 lakh. Bookings began on Wednesday. This special edition showcases a unique livery inspired by the Dakar Rally, equipped with knobby off-road tires, adjustable front suspension, and spoke wheels. It maintains the 199.6cc engine and provides three distinct ride modes.

Hero Motocorp has officially unveiled the Dakar special edition of the Xpulse 200 4V Pro on Wednesday. This exclusive edition of the adventure motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom). The company announced that bookings for the Xpulse 200 Dakar Edition will commence today. This model will be available for purchase alongside the current variants of the motorcycle.

The Dakar Edition will be sold in conjunction with the Xpulse 200 4V and Xpulse 200 4V Pro, which are priced at Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The Dakar Edition draws inspiration from the Pro variant and features several aesthetic enhancements compared to the standard model. Notably, it showcases a distinctive Dakar Rally-inspired livery on the fuel tank, prominently displaying the logo of the renowned race.

The livery features distinctive Hero graphics on the sides. Additionally, the fuel tank displays the compass coordinates of the race venue in Saudi Arabia. The Dakar special edition of the Xpulse 200 4V Pro retains the majority of the hardware from the standard model. Notably, this edition is equipped with knobby tires designed for off-road performance, which can be fitted as an option on the Pro variant of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle is equipped with spoke wheels that do not utilize tubeless tires. This configuration features an adjustable front suspension that offers 250 mm of travel, contributing to an overall ground clearance of 270 mm. Both the front and rear of the bike are fitted with disc brakes. To enhance rider convenience, the manufacturer provides ABS and three distinct riding modes: Road, Off-Road, and Rally.

Additional features include a USB charger, a rally-style windshield, and closed-loop knuckle guards. The engine of the Xpulse Dakar Edition remains a 199.6cc single-cylinder unit, delivering 18.9 hp and 17.35 Nm of peak torque, and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Hero recently introduced the Xpulse 210 at EICMA 2024, with expectations for its launch in India next year, set to replace the Xpulse 200.
