Oracle to Partner with NSDC and TNSDC for Training 5 Lakh Indians

Oracle, a prominent global entity in data management and cloud services, has introduced Project Vidya, an ambitious initiative designed to train 500,000 youth and women throughout India in advanced digital technologies by the year 2028.

This program emphasizes key areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI (GenAI), cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, and application development.

Objective of Project Vidya by Oracle

The main objective of Project Vidya is to provide participants with vital digital skills, thereby improving their employability in the fast-changing technology landscape.

Through extensive training and certification, Oracle aims to address the skills gap and support India’s digital transformation efforts.

Partnerships and Collaborations

To enhance the reach and effectiveness of this initiative, Oracle has formed strategic alliances with significant organizations:

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC): In partnership with NSDC, Oracle intends to train 100,000 youth and professionals from various educational backgrounds, including engineering, arts, and science. This collaboration aims to prepare individuals for job opportunities in the digital sector.

Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC): As part of the Naan Mudhalvan program, Oracle has already trained and certified over 80,000 students, focusing on improving digital skills among the youth in Tamil Nadu.

Training Modules and Delivery

Oracle University, the company’s training and enablement division, is creating specialized training modules for Project Vidya.

These modules will be offered digitally through Oracle MyLearn, the company’s all-encompassing training platform.

The curriculum encompasses a range of topics from foundational to advanced levels, including:

Cloud Technologies: Instruction in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.

AI and ML: Courses covering AI services, machine learning techniques, and data science principles.

Cybersecurity: Modules dedicated to cloud security, data safeguarding, and threat management strategies.

Application Development: Training in application development, DevOps practices, and low-code development platforms.

The program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills required for careers in technology. This initiative will enhance the national skill ecosystem and contribute to economic development.

Global Context and Oracle’s Commitment

Oracle’s dedication to digital education reaches beyond the borders of India.

In January 2025, the company revealed its intention to train and certify 350,000 individuals throughout the Middle East, with a focus on AI and advanced digital technologies.

This initiative highlights Oracle’s commitment to cultivating a skilled workforce in emerging technologies on a global scale.
