TCS stated that a report released in The Telegraph on Sunday, which asserted that Marks & Spencer did not extend its ‘$1-billion’ agreement with the IT company to oversee its technology helpdesk, is “misleading”.
“The article published by The Telegraph contains misleading information, including inaccuracies regarding the contract’s size and the ongoing nature of TCS’ engagement with M&S. Both M&S and TCS have confirmed that the service desk contract with M&S underwent a standard competitive RFP (request for proposal) process that began in January 2025, with M&S choosing to collaborate with other partners well before the cyber incident in April 2025. Therefore, these issues are clearly unrelated,” TCS remarked in a statement on Sunday.
